Are you a passionate nursing leader ready to make a significant impact on patient care? At Medinet, we’re seeking an experienced Matron to join our Senior Clinical Leadership Team, overseeing the delivery of high-quality, safe, and effective care. This role is vital in ensuring that every patient’s experience is exceptional, fostering confidence among patients, families, and commissioners.
The Role
As a Matron at Medinet, you will:
- Lead with Purpose: Guide a dedicated team of over 2,500 nurses and allied healthcare professionals in collaboration with our Medical Director, Matron Team, and Head of Operations. Your leadership will be key in securing a loyal, motivated clinical workforce.
- Champion Excellence: Drive a culture of learning and continuous quality improvement, sharing insights from weekly safety huddles, and spearheading initiatives that enhance care standards.
- Clinical Expertise: Serve as a clinical authority in your specialist area, demonstrating advanced professional judgement and nursing leadership to elevate Medinet’s care models.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Promote a culture of multidisciplinary teamwork, bridging gaps across organisational boundaries to improve patient outcomes.
- Risk Management: Conduct site assessments, identify clinical risks for new contracts, and provide essential guidance for safe, operational delivery.
- Innovate Patient Care: Review and refine patient pathways, lead service audits, and ensure Medinet’s clinical governance standards are met at all times.
- Support Growth: Contribute your expertise to sales, contract development, and operational implementation, ensuring that patient safety remains at the forefront of everything we do.
The Person

- Adaptable and prepared to travel, with a proven ability to implement practice changes and manage conflict effectively, even on short notice.
- Able to understand the importance of collaboration, working closely with both internal and external stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes for patients.
Essential Qualifications:
- A strong track record of successful nursing management and leadership within an NHS Foundation Trust or a similar organisation.
- Extensive experience in an outpatient clinical setting.
